Last night, Pastor Nick and Chrissy drove to Lake City Florida to be of assistance with the new Recovery Church location at The Worship Room at 162 NE Ridgewood Ave, Lake City , FL 32055. This location birthed from the Ormond Beach location and had a rather large last minute turn out.

Tell us one thing about your ministry we don’t know.Popular question
One of the things we do daily is minister to ministries. What’s that mean exactly? Ministries & churches are made up of people pouring themselves into a common vision. After all that pouring, there should be refilling.
Mountains to the Sea Ministries is here to help. We come to build up the church and members. We will help your ministry grow or just lend you a hand/ear/shoulder when needed.
One of the ministries we have partnered with is The Recovery Church Movement. Pastor Nick & Chrissy are leaders at the Ormond Beach location that meets on Thursdays at 7pm at 221 Vining Ct, Ormond Beach, FL 32176.
On Fridays at 7:30pm , you can find us at the Recovery Church Palm Coast location at 2323 N State St, Unit 3, Bunnell, FL 32110.
Saturdays are amazing and raw at Recovery Church Daytona Beach at 6:30pm located in the Mike Fine Hall located at Fine Sober Living at 527 N Ridgewood Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
Sundays are a day to unwind a bit and dig deeper into the Word of God. We host a bible study starting at 6:30pm at 338 Flomich St, Holly Hill, FL 32117.
RC Daytona Beach is our newest location and we eagerly wait each week for Saturday to roll around. Come see us or reach out to one of us here: https://taplink.cc/rccfl
We had a blast with our Brothers & Sisters in Christ on this celebratory day.

What is the truth?/tro͞oTH/
the quality or state of being true. (Thank you Oxford Dictionary)
Okay, what is “True”?/tro͞o/
1. in accordance with fact or reality. – “a true story”
verifiable, literal, in accordance with reality, what actually/really happened
2. accurate or exact. – “it was a true depiction”
The truth is what you personally know as fact, have experienced, or witnessed. It can also be something you have learned or were taught and have adopted as true to you.
Little things that I held as true in my east Tennessee up bringing were not necessarily so to the rest of the world. A whampus cat was truly a mountain lion to me but people from other areas and states did not know this truth. In fact, I was looked at funny when I said whampus.
As a new Christian, your truth about Jesus is certainly true! You know that he loves you no matter what and that he will never leave you or forsake you. That is a truth that you can stand on firmly! The Bible says:
Deuteronomy 31:6 ESV – “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”
Deuteronomy 31:8 ESV -It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
Hebrews 13:5 ESV -“Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Joshua 1:5 ESV – No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you.
Matthew 28:20 ESV – “Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Joshua 1:9 ESV – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
1 Chronicles 28:20 ESV – Then David said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous and do it. Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed, for the Lord God, even my God, is with you. He will not leave you or forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the Lord is finished.

1 Corinthians 11:27-34 NKJV – 27 Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. 30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep. 31 For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world. 33 Therefore, my brethren, when you come together to eat, wait for one another. 34 But if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, lest you come together for judgment. And the rest I will set in order when I come.
Step 4 – Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
Step 5 – Admit to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrong.
Step 10 – Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.”
Matt 7:12-23 NKJV – 12 Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
The Narrow Way
13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 [a]Because narrow is the gate and [b]difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
You Will Know Them by Their Fruits
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
I Never Knew You
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!
Colossians 4:14 NKJV – Luke the beloved physician and Demas greet you.
Demas loved the Lord and was a great help to Paul in his ministry. Demas mingled, lived, and ministered with great men! Paul, Mark, Luke and Aristarchus. Demas had some amazing leaders teaching him.
Philemon 1:24 NKJV – as do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, Luke, my fellow laborers.
2 Timothy 4:9-10 NKJV – 9 Be diligent to come to me quickly; 10 for Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world, and has departed for Thessalonica—Crescens for Galatia, Titus for Dalmatia.
What happened? Demas had several rock solid teachers and even did ministry side by side with Paul! Demas was much like that banana picture above. On the outer layer, he was sincerely in love with his savior and wanted to be of great service. But when life began to peel the layers back, Demas’ inner core wanted the things of the flesh and this life more.
As we examine ourselves, we have to be diligent in our daily 10th step. Are we truly living for Christ or do we prefer the things of this life more?
Let’s see what God’s word says about our spoken words……
The Power of our words
Proverbs 11:9 – With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor, But through knowledge the righteous will be delivered.
Proverbs 15:4 – A soothing tongue is a tree of life, But perversion in it crushes the spirit.
Proverbs 16:24 – Pleasant words are a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
Proverbs 18:21- Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
Words to Build up
Proverbs 18:4- The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; The fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook.
Proverbs 12:18- There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword, But the tongue of the wise brings healing.
Words reveal the Condition of the Heart
Luke 6:43-45 – 43 For there is no good tree which produces bad fruit, nor, on the other hand, a bad tree which produces good fruit. 44 For each tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they pick grapes from a briar bush. 45 The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.
Guarding your Mouth Guards your Heart
Proverbs 21:23- He who guards his mouth and his tongue, Guards his soul from troubles.
James 3:5 – 5 So also the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things. See how great a forest is set aflame by such a small fire!
James 1:26 –If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless.
Titus 3:1-2 – Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good. 2 They must not slander anyone and must avoid quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone.
Psalms 34:12-13 Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? 13 Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies!
Ephesians 4:29 – Let no unwholesome word come out of your mouth, but if there is any good word for edification according to the need of the moment, say that, so that it will give grace to those who hear.
